The synagogue in Casale is a cultural landmark in the Monferrato area. The anonymous entrance in Vicolo Salomone Olper provides access to a corridor leading to the main door of the synagogue, and to a portico, which gives onto a small courtyard. The entire museum complex is built around this, and is used for exhibitions, ceremonies and cultural events. As well as the synagogue, visitors can see the Museum of Ancient Jewish History and Art, which houses one of the most important collections of pieces of Jewish are in Europe, and the Museum of Lights, a collection of contemporary art Chanukkiot (Chanukkah lamps).
