In the afternoon, panoramic tour of the Barolo wine-growing hills, via Grinzane Cavour, with a tour of the Castle taking in the Museum of Local Life and the Cavour Piedmontese Regional Enoteca. Arrival in the old village of Barolo itself to visit the brand-new Museum of Wine, in which all of the secrets belonging to the culture of wine are revealed with evocative and involving representations.
The tour goes on towards Pollenzo with the unfailing stop-off at the panoramic “Belvedere” viewpoint in La Morra.
Arrival and pleasant walk in the ancient roman town, UNESCO World Heritage Site and headquarter of the worldwide association Slow Food located in the sumptuous refurbished Agency of Pollenzo complex, which is home to the first University of Gastronomic Sciences in the world.
 
 

Lunchtime free.

Romantic outing in the afternoon through the lush vineyards of Roero in a horse and carriage, through the narrow country roads and the suggestive view of the “ Rocks”…
Visit of a cellar along the way with tasting of local wines.
Back to the accommodation facility. Relax.
Dinner in a typical ‘trattoria’.
Overnight stay.

Transfer to Alba - the “city of a hundred towers” and “capital of the Langhe” - for a stroll amidst its elegant buildings and mediaeval towers, with the chance to enjoy some shopping in the stylish boutiques and inviting local produce stores.

 

Lunchtime free.
In the afternoon guided naturalistic walk among vineyards and chestnut trees, dwelling upon the characteristic  “ciabot”, probably the most authentic expression of this marvellous rural environment.
Back to the accommodation facility. Relax.
Dinner in an elegant restaurant.
Overnight stay.

Breakfast buffet. Check-out.
Visit to a small honey producer and short walk to the lovely ‘Bee House’ with tasting of the single flower Piedmontese honey.
Transfer to Canale and tasting-aperitif with local Roero wines at the ‘Enoteca di Canale’.
