A day exploring the Roero, and its products and natural settings, where bees and beekeepers feel at home. Walking along countryside paths, skirting the deep ravines with sandy walls known as the Rocche, and coming across bee-hives and the original “Bee Houses”, ciabot - picturesque huts in the vineyards -, and old crutin: tunnels dug into the tufa for use as wine cellars or ice-boxes. To round off the day, a guided tour of the Mediaeval Castle of Cisterna, and its Museum of the Arts and Crafts of the past.
