The Langhe hills are a land of wine abounding with world-famous products. However, it is also a land of excellent literary traditions boasting history, culture and a true, deep, unbreakable bond with the territory. Two great authors, Beppe Fenoglio and Cesare Pavese, wrote of the people of the Langa and Roero, of their exploits and wars, and of the poverty endured by a land that has always set great store by its past: the moving stories in the recherché narrative style of Beppe Fenoglio, who also wrote in the local dialect; and the anguish, passion, and complex existential drama of Cesare Pavese.

The enchanting landscapes of the Upper Langa could not fail to include cultural itineraries following in the footsteps of the characters in the books of Beppe Fenoglio and Cesare Pavese, or setting out to discover an unspoilt world which is still permeated with the appeal of days gone by.
