Arrival in the Langhe and Roero in the afternoon.
Checking into chosen accommodation facility.

| Day 2 – Friday: Pollenzo and possibility of simulated truffle hunt |
Buffet breakfast.
Departure for Pollenzo, a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1997 which was once a Roman settlement and is packed with history and culture.
Arrival and stroll around the old village.
Guided tour of the Wine Bank, part of the sumptuous refurbished Agency of Pollenzo complex which is home to the first University of Gastronomic Sciences in the world. Wine-tasting in the historic cellars accompanied by samples of Slow Food presidia products.
Lunch free.
Possibility of rendezvous with a “Trifolao” - truffle hunter - for an outing into the woods with his dog in search of the precious mushroom that grows underground.
Dinner in a characteristic agritourism facility to enjoy a typical local menu including a Truffle-based dish.
Overnight stay.

| Day 3 – Saturday: Alba and the roads of Barbaresco wine |
Buffet breakfast.
Arrival in Alba, the “City of a 100 Towers”: stroll in the old centre amidst the stalls of the traditional weekly market, and a chance to shop for local produce and clothing in the elegant high street stores.
Visit to the International White Truffle of Alba Fair in the Palatartufo, with the Truffle Market and local food and wine specialities.
 
Lunch free.
Panoramic tour of the hills of Barbaresco wine, taking in the village of Barbaresco, where a visit to the Regional Enoteca is recommended, and Neive, one of the select “prettiest villages in Italy”.
Time free to stroll around the enchanting lanes in the old village.
Return to the hotel, time free to relax.
Dinner in a typical restaurant to savour traditional local dishes.

| Day 4 – Sunday: the roads of Barolo wine |
Buffet breakfast. Checking out of accommodation facility.
Panoramic tour in the morning, heading for Barolo with a stop-off for a tour of Grinzane Cavour Castle and a tasting of locally-grown wines - including the highly-prized Barolo - in the Cavour Regional Enoteca.
Continuation to the village of La Morra, for an unmissable visit to the “Belvedere” viewpoint to marvel at the panorama over the hills and surrounding villages, and then Cherasco, a centre of art and culture renowned for its antique markets. A stroll around the town is recommended, stopping off in a historic patisserie to taste the peerless “Baci di Cherasco” .
